Ute Mountain Tribal Park Winter Tour

The Ute Mountain Tribal Park will host a winter tour starting at the Tribal Park Visitor Center/Museum, located at Highway Junction 160/491, on Dec. 13, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The museum is about 20 miles south of Cortez.

The Ute Mountain Tribal Park tour of Anasazi Sun Calendars (winter solstice sites) in Mancos Canyon will be conducted by Virginia Wolf, anthropologist and archaeologist.

Cost is $29 per person.

Ute Mountain Tribal Park will provide vans and transportation costs. Each van holds up to 15 people. Visitors may provide their own transportation. Visitors should dress warm and must provide their own water for the tour.
