Farmington police detectives have released the names of two people found dead in separate homicides less than a week apart.

Police identified the first person as Brigitte Johnson, 34, of Farmington. Johnson was found dead at 10:20 a.m. Dec. 13 in a home in the 2800 block of Parque de Oeste in Westland Park.

The second person, who was found dead at 8:42 p.m. Dec. 19 in a room at the Journey Inn, 317 Airport Drive, was identified as Derek Gagnebin, 36.

Gagnebin was found “unresponsive and not breathing,” and EMS responded, but he was pronounced dead, according to Farmington Police Spokesperson Shanice Gonzales.

Both cases are “still being actively investigated,” Gonzales said.
