Mark and Kate Ott, of Mancos, announce the engagement of their son, Matthew Ott, to Ashley Weinhandl. Matthew and Ashley will wed on Saturday, Oct. 5, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Minneapolis. Ashley is the daughter of David and Linda Weinhandl of Cannon Falls, Minn. Ashley graduated from St. Benedict College in 2011 majoring in Hispanic studies and accounting. She also is a 2013 graduate from the University of Minnesota with a master’s degree in social work. Ashley is currently employed as a financial assistant at Common Hope in St. Paul, Minn. Matthew was a 2005 graduate of Dolores High School; he also graduated in 2009 from St. Johns University majoring in theology and environmental studies. Currently attending the University of Minnesota, Matthew is pursuing his masters in plant breeding. Matthew is employed at Wedge Natural Food Co-op as deli customer service. Matthew and Ashley will live in Minneapolis while Matthew works toward his master’s degree.
