The New Year marks a significant change for The Journal as we introduce digital subscriptions.

This is an important step that will strengthen our ability to bring you extensive coverage of Montezuma County and one we hope you will see as an investment in local news.

Starting in mid-January, The Journal will implement a metered site and will begin charging for full digital access on The-Journal.com. Visitors will be able to view up to five free articles a month. After that, they will be asked to choose from among three digital access subscriptions.

You will be able to choose a yearly digital subscription, a monthly or a daily price. This change will primarily affect those who consume The Journal’s content heavily online.

If you are a print subscriber, you will receive full digital access for the remainder of your current subscription. Just register when prompted, and you will have immediate access.

The Journal will continue to publish a printed newspaper.
