Thank you to the Montezuma County Hospital District for its financial contributions to Southwest Health System during this difficult time for our community hospital.

Not only did MCHD purchase a medical office building from SHS for $425,000 (as reported in the Cortez Journal Oct. 24, 2018), it also secured a $2 million DOLA grant for SHS; contributed $1.7 million in soft costs to the expansion project; elected to forgo reimbursement entitlements in excess of $633,000; and is shouldering debt service reserve funding in the amount of $802,000 for a total contribution to SHS of more than $5.5 million.

The community is grateful for MCHD’s generous spirit of cooperation.
