I was in a horse-related accident last Friday caused by a dog that was not in control by its owner. I suffered a broken collar bone and a head injury.
A big thank-you to local law enforcement officers, especially Deputy Summers, and other bystanders who seemed to come out of nowhere to help me. One woman went to catch my horse; another person applied wet paper towels in an attempt to stop the bleeding. Someone even walked my horse home.
I am recovering now and want to thank everyone who came to my rescue. Dog owners: Please make sure to keep your dogs under control!
