My wife and I moved to Bayfield two years ago. Although we have friends in Cortez that we visit now and then, this year we heard about the Celtic Fair and just had to come on over. (We both have familial roots in Ireland and Scotland and visited both on our honeymoon!)
We were impressed both by the fair and the welcome from the people of Cortez who obviously put in a huge effort to make the event so enjoyable. The participants in the Highland Games were impressive, the music was great, there was nice variety among the vendors, and we met some truly interesting people.
So, thank you to the people and city of Cortez and the many sponsors who pitched into make the fair a wonderful experience. We’ll be back next year and hope to bring some of our new neighbors and friends.
