Sundog Gallery will celebrate its first year with an evening of art, music and events on Aug. 1, and the community is invited to attend.
The Sundog Gallery Birthday Bash is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. at its location, 107 Grand Ave. in Mancos. The birthday event will also feature work from 20 local artists, drinks, small bites, raffles and more.
An after-party is set to follow at Fenceline Cidery, 141 S. Main St., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The band Banshee Tree will perform live music, with the Red Door Food Truck and Fenceline ciders available.
The gallery has hosted six exhibits in its first year, including art by Cortez painter Stanton Englehart, “La Mesa: Ceramics for the Table,” “It’s a Small Works After All,” Taos artist Randall LaGro, “Hidden Wisdom” by Dina Herrmann and Cortez photographer Aren Goldstrand.
The gallery space has also recently been “refreshed” with work by 20 local artists.
“At the end of the day, its each of you that make this gallery what it is,” the gallery said.
