It is great to see our community taking responsibility for its safety. There’s not a lot of violent crime here, but when seconds count, the cops are only minutes away! It was great to see support for our local businesses in the Journal article about “packing heat” (Dec. 17). However, conspicuously absent was any mention of Summit Shooting Center on Road G. It has been there for seven years and has a large selection of concealed carry purses and classes specifically geared toward women and taught by a female instructor. The center has long guns, hand guns, ammunition and accessories. It also has the only public, indoor shooting range for more than 200 miles and handguns for rent.
