The Journal

St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and Grace’s Kitchen will host the 18th annual community Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 26 at St. Barnabas Church, 110 W. North St.

Because of COVID-19 precautions, the meal will be served via takeout or delivery for those who are unable to leave their homes. To reserve a meal, call or email to arrange a pickup time. Those who are unable to leave their homes may sign up for a delivery up until Nov. 23.

Last year’s event served more than 300 people, and about the same number is expected this year. The church is still looking for volunteers and donations.

The church also needs financial donations, since most of the food that can be cooked in advance has been purchased already. Kitchen volunteers have already started to prepare the 25 turkeys that will be served at the feast.

To volunteer, donate, or sign-up for meals, email stbarnabascortez@gmail.com or call 565-7865.
