M-CHS basketball campThe Montezuma-Cortez girls basketball program will be hosting a basketball camp at M-CHS from Monday, July 11- Wednesday, July 13.

Boys and girls grades 5-8 will participate from 9 a.m.-noon and high school girls from 12:30-4 p.m.

M-CHS coaches John McHenry and Brittney Whiteman, as well as Cydney McHenry and other Adams State University basketball players will lead the instruction.

The cost is $60 and each participant will receive a custom M-CHS basketball.

There are flyers at the Cortez Recreation Center and payment will be accepted the morning of camp.

Cortez Bass MastersThe Cortez Bass Masters will hold a Bass meeting on Wednesday, July 20 at the American Legion at 320 North Harrison St. in Cortez, and their next tournament will be on July 23 at McPhee Reservoir.

There are five tournaments scheduled for the year and members receive points for attending meetings and for placing in tournaments to determine the angler and co-angler of the year.

High Desert DevoHigh Desert Devo Mountain Bike Club is seeking motivated male and female mountain bikers to participate in the 2016 Colorado high school race series.

Races begin in August and run through October, but interested bikers can ride and train on local trails with club coaches throughout the summer.
