M-CHS soccer team beats Pagosa

Coming off four consecutive losses, the Montezuma-Cortez High School girls soccer team traveled to Pagosa Springs on March 24 and finally came up with a win.

Sophomore midfielder Rylee Lindsley scored M-CHS’s only goal of the game. The Lady Panthers defeated Pagosa Springs 8-0 earlier this season.

With their record now at 1-4-0 on the season, M-CHS’s next game will be against Steamboat Springs in Delta on March 28.

Southwest Softball taking registrations

Southwest Softball is accepting registrations for our Summer 2015 program. Early deadline in March 31. After that fees will increase.

Adult softball accepting registrations

The City of Cortez is now accepting registrations for its men’s and women’s adult softball leagues.

The cost of entry is $300 per team and registration ends on May 4. Registration forms can be picked up at the front desk of the Cortez Recreation Center.
