Registration is now open for the Southwestern Water Conservation District’s 42nd annual Southwest Water Seminar, titled “One Watershed – Many Voices.” The seminar is set for Friday, March 27, at the Sky Ute Casino Resort in Ignacio.
Attendees for the full-day seminar will hear from water managers, tribal leaders, scientists, policymakers, recreation advocates and other speakers. These individuals will address water challenges and upcoming opportunities, according to information from the Southwestern Water Conservation District. Topics include water quality, water quantity and stories highlighting the impacts of drought, wildfire and other issues on headwaters.
Along with identifying challenges to overcome, the seminar aims to foster collaboration and find solutions to them.
The seminar is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Sky Ute Casino Resort, 14324 Colorado Highway 172 North, Ignacio. Registration costs $60 per person and includes breakfast and lunch.
