Southwest Health System spring Health Fair set for April 18

This year’s spring Health Fair will be held on Saturday, April 18 at the Montezuma County Annex.
Chemistry panels, immunizations and more will be available for attendees

Southwest Health System is partnering with the Montezuma County Health Department to host a free community health fair Saturday, April 18, offering blood tests, wellness stations and complimentary immunizations.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to noon at the Montezuma County Annex, 107 N. Chestnut St., in Cortez.

Blood tests available at the fair will include a comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid panel and thyroid-stimulating hormone test, a complete blood count, a prostate-specific antigen test for men, hemoglobin A1C testing and vitamin D screening.

Wellness stations will be available focusing on mental, physical and emotional health. A mobile immunization clinic will offer complimentary adult and pediatric immunizations on a first-come, first-served basis.

According to Southwest Health System, payment is due at the time of service and can be made with cash, personal check or credit card, with cash or personal check preferred. Insurance, Medicare and Medicaid will not be billed for “patient-initiated health fair testing,” and Southwest Health System will not provide billing information for these services.
