Southwest Artists League to host silent art auction to benefit Dolores Knowledge Bowl team

The Southwest Artists League, based in Cortez, will host a public exhibit and silent auction Friday, April 17, to benefit the Dolores RE-4A School District Knowledge Bowl team.

Items valued at up to $500 will be available for silent bidding at the event, which will be held at Dolores Secondary School, 1301 Central Ave. in Dolores, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Chili bowls will be sold for $5, and beverages will be available for $1.

The auction will include “The Barn,” an oil painting donated by Frances Wisner, plus “Lizard Head” and other artwork by charcoal artist Curtis Moss.
