Ski season is upon us: Here are the deals

Local resorts offer deals on passes

Ski passes are available for Telluride, Ski Hesperus and Purgatory.

Telluride kicks off its Four Corners pass sale in Cortez on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Slaven’s True Value, 237 W. Main St., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Telluride then travels to the Ridgway Elementary School on Oct. 6-7, the Ski Barn in Durango on Oct. 14-15, the Hesperus Ski Swap at the La Plata County fairgrounds in Durango on Nov. 4, and the Dolores Ski Swap on Nov. 11 at the Dolores Community Center.

Telluride season passes are $1,200 for adults (ages 25-64); $449 for young adults (19-24); $249 for juniors (13-18); $195 for children (6-12); and $749 for a seniors (65-79). Seniors 80-plus ski for free with the Palmyra Pass. Six-day passes go for $375, a 10-day pass is $549, and the T-Card is $80, which includes a day of free skiing then 20 percent off the ticket price.

Hesperus Ski Area offers multi-day, multi-resort cards. Sale prices end Sept. 29.

The adult Local Power Pass is on sale for $359 and includes unlimited access to Hesperus, and the Sipapu and Pajarito ski resorts in New Mexico. The pass also includes three free days at Arizona Snowbowl; three free days at partner areas including Monarch and Ski Cooper, and unlimited $50 Purgatory Lift Tickets with blackout dates.

The adult Power Pass is $749 and includes unlimited access to Purgatory, Hesperus, Arizona Snowbowl, Sipapu and Pajarito, with no blackout dates. It also includes three free days at partner resorts including Copper Mountain, Crested Butte and Loveland.

Purgatory also offers season pass deals until Sept. 29. The Power Passes on sale are: $749 for adults (ages 37-64); $579 for young adults (30-36); $489 for young adults (25-29); and $359 for teenagers (13-18). The Power Pass includes unlimited access to Purgatory, Hesperus, Arizona Snowbowl, Pajarito and Sipapu. The Power Pass deal comes with three free days at partner ski areas including Copper Mountain, Crested Butte and Monarch.
