11:41 a.m.: Deputies responded to a reported theft in the 100 block of N. Ninth St. in Dolores, where a man reported a Rainbow flag had been taken from the exterior of his residence overnight. A deputy noted the incident appeared to be a possible bias‑motivated crime. No suspects were identified, and deputies planned to check nearby surveillance cameras.

Thursday, Feb. 20

12:42 a.m.: Deputies responded to a reported disturbance at a business in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 160 in Cortez, where a man who was on a trespass list was told to leave and allegedly threw a drink while exiting. The man was no longer on scene. A summons for trespassing was completed.

Tuesday, Feb. 24

9:44 p.m.: Deputies responded to multiple reports of a disturbance in the 10900 block of Road 35 near Mancos involving a man and a woman. Deputies later arrested a man on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence. The man was transported for medical clearance before being booked into the Detention Center.

Sunday, March 1

6:28 p.m.: Deputies responded to a reported fight at a trailer park in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160 in Cortez involving a baseball bat. A man was taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree assault, and another man was transported to a hospital with head injuries and a possible broken arm. The injured man was also taken into custody on multiple active arrest warrants in Grand Junction..

11:03 a.m.: Deputies responded to a court remand at the Montezuma County Combined Courts in the 800 block of N. Park St. in Cortez, where a woman was taken into custody and transported to the Detention Center.

Thursday, March 5

8:05 p.m.: Deputies responded to a reported theft in the 12700 block of Road 23 in Cortez after a man reported a handgun missing from his vehicle. The man told deputies the firearm may have been taken while the vehicle was parked at his workplace. The firearm was reported stolen. No suspects were identified.

Friday, March 6

5:39 a.m.: Deputies responded to a reported crash near mile marker 29 of U.S. Highway 160 in Cortez, where a woman reported her vehicle was struck head‑on by an oncoming vehicle that left the scene. No other vehicles were located, and the Colorado State Patrol assumed the investigation.

Sunday, March 8

2:36 p.m.: Deputies responded to a reported assault near Phil’s World in the 9400 block of Road 30.1 in Cortez, where a woman reported being pushed from her bicycle and threatened. 12:12 a.m.: Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of Road 25 in Cortez and issued a summons to a man for driving violations, including driving without a valid driver’s license and lack of proof of insurance.

11:59 a.m.: Deputies responded to a reported protection order concern involving a social media post tied to a residence in the 21700 block of Road S in Cortez. Deputies documented the complaint and planned to consult the district attorney regarding possible prosecution.

2:46 p.m.: Deputies responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center in the 700 block of E. Driscoll St. in Cortez, where two men turned themselves in on outstanding arrest warrants and were taken into custody.
