Saturday, Sept. 13

9:13 a.m.: A man was stopped by law enforcement near Road G and Road 25 after his vehicle was observed at a fuel pump at Loves Travel Stop on U.S. Highway 160. The man exited the vehicle, citing overheating, and admitted his license was not valid. The woman passenger, who was visibly pregnant, was arrested on suspicion of an active warrant. A search revealed suspected narcotics. The man denied ownership of the drugs, and a large amount of cash was found on his person. The vehicle was towed to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Tuesday, Sept. 16

12:00 p.m.: A possible restraining order violation was reported at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. A woman was observed on a video visit with a man, in violation of an active protection order prohibiting communication. Evidence was gathered from the inmate canteen program.

Thursday, Sept. 18

6:58 p.m.: A woman reported a theft at her shop in the 7200 block of Road 25. Two paddleboards and a box of miscellaneous electronic parts were taken, and a boat on the property was also searched. No surveillance footage was available.

Monday, Sept. 22

12:29 p.m.: A man reported an assault that occurred a month earlier near the 41700 block of Colorado Highway 184. The man provided video evidence showing a confrontation with another man involving a shovel and debris in the roadway. Both parties described feeling threatened, and the incident was documented for court.

Monday, Sept. 22

9:17 p.m.: A man reported a domestic violence incident at a residence in the 23800 block of Road. J. The man stated that after an argument, his girlfriend attempted to strike him and threw an aerosol spray bottle. Both parties described physical altercations and exchanged accusations. Minor injuries were documented, and evidence was collected.

Tuesday, Sept. 23

12:13 p.m.: Two men were transported from Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to the Montezuma County Detention Center for court remands. One was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence, and the other on suspicion of menacing.

Friday, Sept. 26

11:42 p.m.: A disturbance was reported in Housing Unit E at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. A man was found with facial injuries after an altercation with two other men. One man admitted involvement and was issued a summons for third-degree assault.
