Saturday, June 14

10:00 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of a dog bite at 7348 Road 39, Mancos. A male juvenile was bitten on the leg by a heeler breed dog while inside the residence. The dog owners signed a home confinement agreement pending proof of rabies vaccination. The juvenile was advised that compensation for medical expenses would be a civil matter.

Thursday, June 26

1:30 p.m.: Two iPhones were found at the beach in Dolores and turned in at the Dolores Substation, 420 Central Ave., Dolores. The phones were logged for safekeeping.

7:16 p.m.: An officer responded to 17531 Road 27.7, Dolores, for a dog-at-large complaint. A man reported that his neighbor’s dogs, including a white Pitbull or boxer mix, were repeatedly on his property. The officer observed the dogs and transported two of them to the animal shelter. The neighbor was cited for having a dog not under control.

Friday, June 27

8:00 p.m.: An officer observed a woman at 10501 Highway 491, Cortez, who appeared intoxicated. After a traffic stop, the woman failed roadside sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of driving while ability impaired. She was transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Monday, June 30

7:30 p.m.: An officer responded to a welfare check at 24149 Road S.6, Dolores. A woman reported that her husband had destroyed property and was becoming increasingly aggressive. The man admitted to breaking photo frames and was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and criminal mischief.

Wednesday, July 2

11:56 a.m.: A woman in custody at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., Cortez, was served with an out-of-state warrant from San Juan County, New Mexico.

9:06 p.m.: A traffic stop at 7006 Highway 160, Cortez, led to the arrest of a woman with two active warrants. She was transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Thursday, July 3

12:51 a.m.: A truck and trailer were found parked over the fog line at 17100 Highway 491, Lewis. The driver was issued a summons for obstructing a highway.

10:59 a.m.: A man was remanded into custody for contempt of court at 865 N. Park St., Cortez, and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

11:30 a.m.: An officer responded to 17625 Road 27.7, Dolores, for a complaint of dogs at large. The dog owner was cited for repeated violations.

Friday, July 4

9:21 p.m.: Officers responded to 17500 Forest Road 565, Mancos, for a protection order violation. A man and woman with mutual restraining orders were found together and arrested.

Saturday, July 5

10:56 p.m.: A vehicle fire was reported at 23400 Road N, Cortez. The driver stated the car overheated and caught fire. No foul play was suspected.

Monday, July 7

3:48 p.m.: A traffic stop at the 500 block of E. Montezuma Ave., Cortez, resulted in a man being cited for expired registration and no proof of insurance.
