Wednesday, June 28

12:30 a.m. A woman in the 2800 block of U.S. Highway 160 heard noises outside her home and about 7 a.m. noticed her car had been rummaged through. An Apple watch and two passports were missing.

Saturday, July 1

3:22 p.m. A man driving in the 26000 block of U.S. Forest Service Road 526 passed another driver and scraped the side of the vehicle. The man was cited for limitation on overtaking on the left.

Saturday, July 8

10:58 a.m. A man allegedly took two pans from his mother’s home in the 11200 block of U.S. Highway 491. The mother believed there to be about $500 worth of gold in the pans and asked her son be trespassed. The man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, failure to leave a premises and possession of paraphernalia. The pans were found and returned to the mother.

Tuesday, July 11

10:53 a.m. An officer noticed a trash can knocked over in the 200 block of South Seventh Street and told the homeowner, who planned to get it cleaned up.

Wednesday, July 12

5:47 a.m. A man laying at the entrance of the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 11502 Colorado Highway 145, was arrested on a warrant.

Friday, July 14

4:06 p.m. An officer served a warrant to man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:07 p.m. A man at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was remanded into custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:45 p.m. A man in the 28000 block of U.S. Forest Service Road 528 yelled at a woman when she told him to keep his dogs leashed in the camp area. The man refused to identify himself to a Forest Service officer, who was questioning him and the woman. The man walked away, and a deputy and the officer detained the man using force and a Taser. The man was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, assault on a federal officer, disorderly conduct and obstruction.

11:52 p.m. A deputy assisted with the arrest of a woman who was fighting Cortez police officers in the 1300 block of North Mildred Road. The deputy helped restrain the woman using a full-body restraint.

Tuesday, July 18

10:33 a.m. A woman who ran a stop sign at the intersection of Fourth Street and Riverside Avenue in Dolores was arrested on a warrant.

Sunday, July 16

9:15 a.m. A woman took several things from Dollar General, 23890 Road G, without paying. The woman was arrested in the 24000 block of Road G on suspicion of criminal impersonation, possession of paraphernalia and theft. The total value of the items is $15.75.

Monday, July 17

10:59 a.m. A man in the 1800 block of Road 19 noticed a vehicle had hit and damaged a gate to his property.

5:15 p.m. A woman at the Montezuma County Combined Court, 865 N. Park St., was remanded into custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on two warrants.

Tuesday, July 18

8:19 a.m. A German shepherd-mix dog was running around a trailer park in the 182000 block of Colorado Highway 145. The dog was picked up by an officer and returned to the owner. The owner was cited with letting a dog run at large.
