Tuesday, Feb. 7

12:49 p.m., A man was arrested in the 6400 block of Road 23.6 on a warrant.

Saturday, Feb. 11

8:38 p.m., A dog in the 18000 block of Colorado Highway 145 killed a chicken in a neighbor’s yard. The dog’s owner was cited with letting a dog run at large.

Sunday, Feb. 12

10:03 a.m., A wallet found at 3 Weeminuche Drive in Towaoc was turned over to an officer. The wallet’s owner was invited to pick it up the following week.

3:02 p.m., A man driving in the 27000 block of U.S. Highway 160 was cited with speeding and driving under restraint after allegedly driving 74 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Tuesday, Feb. 14

9:09 a.m., The owner of a cabin in the 24000 block of County Road S in Dolores found a locked purse in the bathroom. The owner believes the purse belongs to a man and woman she had rented the cabin to over the weekend. The bag contained several pipes and a small baggie of what was believed to be meth.

9:18 a.m., A woman traded points from a cigarette company rewards program for a drone. The drone was delivered to her home in the 21900 block of Road G but was stolen from her porch before she retrieved it.

10:54 a.m., A woman received an offer for a stay-at-home job by a woman over Facebook. The woman was interviewed over Telegram, then sent an email with a check. The woman deposited the check at First National Bank in Cortez, 2258 E Main St. An officer told the woman the check was probably bad and she should stop the deposit.

5:21 p.m., A cab slid of the side of Colorado Highway 184. The driver was going 35 mph when she lost traction going downhill. The cab rotated sideways and went off the side of the road, getting stuck in the mud about 10 feet from the roadway. The passenger of the cab was not wearing a seat belt and she was thrown against a door, which bruised her face and arm.

Thursday, Feb. 16

9:53 a.m., A man at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St, was remanded into custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant.

2:10 p.m., A dog’s owner was cited with having an uncontrolled go after it got loose in the 9500 block of Road 19.2.

5:29 p.m., An officer served a failure-to-appear warrant to a man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Feb. 17

11:04 a.m., A woman received a letter from a credit card company stating her application had been denied. The woman called the company because she had not applied for the card and was informed that her personal information had been used.

2:16 p.m., An officer served a felony warrant for failure to comply to a man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
