Monday, Aug. 29

12:43 p.m., Someone was reported to be cutting a chain and lock repeatedly at a property in the 37000 block of County Road M.

Wednesday, Sept. 5

2:25 p.m., A warrant was issued for a man who was reported to have stolen a truck in the 5900 block of County Road 38 to illegally tow a car back to the 5900 block of Road 38, where the man was living. Both vehicles were damaged and possibly totaled.

Thursday, Sept. 15

1:15 p.m., Someone reported the lock on a flood gate to irrigation ditch was cut in the 23000 block of County Road M, and the gate opened.

2:40 p.m., A dog escaped from its property and bit a woman in the leg in the 14000 block of County Road 21.

Friday, Sept 23

8:41a.m, A report was made for damage done to a concrete island at the Dolores State Bank, 27880 U.S. Highway 160 early that morning. Surveillance footage showed a hay trailer being dragged over the island.

Saturday, Sept 24

2:17 p.m., A man driving 92 mph through Mancos on U.S. Highway 160 was arrested on suspicion of speeding and felony eluding.

4:11 p.m. A truck driving in the wrong lane of traffic in the 21000 block of Forest Service Road 526 outside Dolores almost hit a car head-on, but the car swerved off the road and crashed into a tree.

6:02 p.m., A child running around Dolores River Brewery, 100 S. Fourth St., startled a dog and was bit.

Sunday, Sept. 25

5:11 p.m., A man was arrested on suspicion of assault (intimidation) after allegedly sticking a gun in someone’s face several times in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Monday, Sept. 26

5:41 p.m., A parked car in the 200 block of South Eighth Street was reportedly hit in a hit-and-run.

Wednesday, Sept. 28

4:16 a.m., A man allegedly was held at gunpoint by a firefighter captain after trying to break into the captain’s truck. A police officer arrived, but no arrest was made as there was no statutes that fit the circumstance.

Thursday, Sept. 29

6:32 a.m., Someone reported that a sibling stole their vehicle from the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160 the night before, and might have taken it to New Mexico.

Saturday, Oct. 2

5:24 a.m., A man was arrested for drinking alcohol in violation of a protection order.
