12:36 p.m. An employee reported that an unwanted man was camping in the field next to the Baymont Inn, 2279 Hawkins St. He reportedly threatened to fight another employee and burn the building down. A deputy attempted to locate him to serve him a trespass notice.

Friday, March 4

9:02 p.m. An man was arrested on suspicion of driving a stolen car while intoxicated in the 27400 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Saturday, March 5

1:59 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of drunken and careless driving after he was pulled over for weaving in the 300 block of West Main Street.

8:10 a.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a deputy responded to his location for a report of property damage in the 28200 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Sunday, March 6

11:14 p.m. A man was arrested in the lower 100 block of Weeminuche Drive on suspicion of distribution and possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, March 8

1:21 p.m. A man reportedly set off an alarm while breaking into a residence in the 2500 block of Hawkins Street. A sergeant found the man lying in a bed inside the house and cited him for first- and third-degree trespass and gave him a courtesy ride to the Bridge Shelter.

3:39 p.m. A deputy had a suspicious vehicle towed from the 14000 block of Road 33 after his attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful.

Wednesday, March 9

3:39 p.m. A man was arrested in the 25100 block of Road F. 2 after he texted his sister, which was in violation of a protection order.

8:21 p.m. A three-car rear-end collision reportedly occurred after a woman’s brakes stopped working in the 28200 block of U.S. Highway 160.

11:12 p.m. A man was arrested for drunken driving after he was pulled over failing to maintain the lane in the 1600 block of East Main Street. He was cited for drinking and driving, driving with a suspended license, failing to maintain the lane and possessing an open alcohol container in a vehicle.

Friday, March 11

8:17 a.m. A woman reported that her neighbors were fighting in the 700 block of Hillside Avenue. The couple denied that anything physical took place.

11:11 p.m. An inmate was served an outstanding warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:20 a.m. A man reported that someone gave him a fraudulent cashier’s check when trying to purchase bales of hay he was selling in the 23400 block of Road U.
