Several events planned in Dolores on Halloween, Oct. 31.

Three Chicks Bakery, 105 Fifth St., will host a Halloween Bonanza from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a costume contest, caramel apples, face painting and pumpkin painting.

EsoTerra Cidery, 18390 Colorado Highway 145, will serve candy and hot apple cider from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for young people. They will host an adult costume party starting at 7:30 p.m.

The Dolores Food Market, 400 Railroad Ave., will offer free pumpkin carving from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pumpkins and carving sets are provided, and there will be social distancing between carving stations. Pumpkins must remain at the store for display in the annual pumpkin lighting. All ages are welcome.

From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Dolores Public Library, 1002 Railroad Ave., will host The Garden of Unearthly Delights.

Kids and parents can tour the library’s haunted garden full of treats and terrors. Organizers created a candy slide to deliver treats to kids in a socially distanced way. All ages are welcome to attend this socially distanced outdoor event. The use of facial masks is strongly encouraged. Call (970) 882-4127 with questions.

Also on Halloween, the Dolores Fire Protection District will host a food drive at Dolores Town Hall at 420 Central Ave. at 7 p.m. Firefighters will collect donations and deliver them to families in need. Firefighters also will be stationed outside Town Hall Halloween night to hand out candy and other goodies to children.
