Schools now taking online registrations

Mancos district simplifies process for online users

The Mancos School District has simplified the registration process for new and returning students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

An online registration form will become available on the district website (www.mancosre6.edu) starting Wednesday, July 22.

The form has been designed to be user-friendly, and the district hopes parents/guardians will take advantage by registering their students online before Aug. 10. Deadline to register by is Wednesday, Aug. 12.

If you don't have Internet access, stop by the Mancos Public Library to register online.

Returning students and parents who register online don't need to be present for registration; however, if parents who need assistance may register in person on Monday, Aug. 10, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Mancos High School, where each school's secretary will be able to assist and answer any questions.

All new K-12 students may complete the online registration but must appear at the Aug. 10 registration to present a birth certificate and immunization records. Previous school records must also be provided for students registering in grades 1 through 12.

All preschool students must register in person at the Mancos Early Learning Center beginning Aug. 6. Parents must provide the child's birth certificate, immunization records and proof of income.

All students must register before classes start. If you miss registration, stop by the school office to update student information.

Supply lists for students are available on the district's website now or may be picked up at the school after Aug. 10.

The first day of school for all students is Tuesday, Aug. 25.
