San Juan Basin Archaeological Society to host presentation at fairgrounds, and on Zoom

San Juan Basin Archaeological Society will host an in-person presentation called “Diné Survivance and the Old Leupp Boarding School” with Davina Ruth Two Bears at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at La Plata County Fairgrounds, Lightner Conference room above the Exhibit Hall.

Two Bears, a visiting professor at Fort Lewis College, is Diné and is originally from Birdsprings, Arizona. She worked for the Navajo Nation Archaeology Department for 14 years as a tribal archaeologist and program manager. In 2019, she completed a Ph.D. minor in Native American and Indigenous studies.

In-person attendees must have COVID-19 vaccinations. The meeting will also be available on Zoom. For login information, visit www.sjbas.org.
