A class about safe food handling will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.

The class will cover Colorado Department of Health safe food-handling requirements for food service industry workers and Cottage Food Tier 1 producers. Participants will receive a Food Safety Works Wallet Card, valid for one year, after successful completion of the exam.

Cost is $35 per person.
