Residence Inn by Marriott in Durango is sold

Ownership group also owns neighboring hotel
The Residence Inn by Marriott in Durango has been purchased by a partnership out of Fort Collins for $8.2 million.

Prime Hospitality out of Fort Collins, a hotel and motel partnership, has purchased the Residence Inn by Marriott in Durango for $8.2 million.

Kalpesh Patel, the registered agent with Prime Hospitality, said the firm owns several hotels mostly in Colorado and Florida.

Prime Hospitality owns the neighboring property, The Fairfield Inn & Suites, 21719 U.S. Highway 160.

“It was a good fit for us, and we know the market,” he said.

Patel said the name will remain the same, and he anticipates making no changes at the 66-room inn.

The sale was recorded by La Plata County assessor’s office on Feb. 13.

Previous owners of the Residence Inn by Marriott in Durango, 21691 U.S. Highway 160, are listed as Durango Summit Partners, Anesi Properties, Frank Anesi, James Anesi, Greg Anesi, Leon Volkert and Hwy One Hundred Sixty West.
