St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church plans to host the band Mariachi Guadalupano de Monterrey for a fundraising concert on Sunday, Aug. 7, to benefit the church’s multipurpose building and catechetical center.

Mariachi Guadalupano de Monterrey is a group of eight youths who are involved in the liturgies of the Archdiocese of Monterrey, Mexico.

Admission for the St. Margaret Mary’s event is $15 for adults and $8 for children under age 11.

Mariachi Guadalupano de Monterrey intends to participate in the liturgy of each Catholic church in the Montelores Community that weekend. After each Mass, they will play popular Mexican music and sell their CDs.

The group will perform Sunday, Aug. 7 at St. Margaret Mary’s morning Mass at 10:30 a.m., Spanish Mass at 12:30 p.m. and evening Mass at 5 p.m., followed by a concert. Other performances are: Our Lady of Victory in Dolores at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6; St. Jude in Dove Creek at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6; and St. Rita of Cascia in Mancos at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7.
