Region 9 Economic Development District recently hired Heather Otter as its economic development project manager, effective on Monday.

Otter is the current program manager at La Plata Economic Development Alliance and Mountain Middle School board president. She began her career in public education, and has experience as a small business owner and worked for corporate employee development programs.

In her new position, Otter will manage projects, data reports and publications, including the District’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.
