Interviewers are expressing amazement over the actions of the young men who pursued and took down the slasher on that Texas university. They want to know why those men ran toward the threat, rather than running away from it.
Let me be extremely specific: Real men run toward danger, when they learn defenseless women are under attack. Oh, I know! That's said to be old-fashioned thinking. Wrong! It's a simple understanding of the instinctive reaction of real men. They defend and protect by instinct, leaving that "counting the cost" part to the lesser inhabitants of this violent old world.
Thank you, guys. Would that we could duplicate you by the multiple dozens! It would make this world a nicer and much safer place!
