Wednesday, April 1

9:22 a.m.: An officer responded to Conoco, 302 W. Main St., for a report of a woman driving erratically. The woman was contacted at the gas pumps, and officers observed an odor of alcohol and an open vodka bottle in the vehicle. She provided a preliminary breath sample showing 0.074 BRAC and was arrested on a warrant.

9:40 a.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve warrants on a man already in custody.

3:12 p.m.: An officer responded to Cedar Terrace Apartments, 419 S. Cedar St., for a report of a woman striking a sign and nearly causing head-on collisions. The woman allegedly refused to arrange care for her dogs. She was arrested on suspicion of DUI and animal cruelty after providing a blood sample.

5:03 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on South Market Street for a domestic violence disturbance involving a broken vehicle window. A man became agitated, resisted arrest and a dog bit an officer during the incident. The man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer and criminal mischief.

Thursday, April 2

9:52 a.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve a warrant on a man who turned himself in. The man was arrested on the warrant.

11:24 a.m.: An officer responded to Cortez Mobile Home Park, 520 E. Second St., after observing a man with a warrant exit a vehicle. The man was arrested on the warrant.

11:56 p.m.: An officer responded to South Beech Street and East First Street for an observed traffic violation involving a man driving at a high rate of speed through a stop sign without signaling. The man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to stop, failure to signal and prohibited use of a weapon after a handgun was located in the vehicle.

Friday, April 3

1:29 p.m.: An officer responded to Siki’s Village, 321 S. Broadway, to serve a warrant on a man. The man was arrested on the warrant.

1:51 p.m.: An officer responded to The Pie Maker, 17 N. Harrison St., for a trespass complaint involving two men previously banned from the property. Both men were issued citations for trespassing.

2:15 p.m.: An officer responded to The Pie Maker, 17 N. Harrison St., for a trespass complaint. A man previously trespassed from the property was issued a citation for trespassing.

2:51 p.m.: An officer responded to East Seventh Street and South Valley Road near Walmart and contacted a man with a warrant. The man was arrested on the warrant.

8:47 p.m.: An officer responded to City Market, 508 E. Main St., for an unwanted person who forced entry through locked doors. A woman previously trespassed from the store was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

Saturday, April 4

5:26 p.m.: An officer responded to Safeway, 1580 E. Main St., after observing a woman in violation of a protection order in a vehicle. The woman was located nearby on Safeway property and arrested on suspicion of protection order violation and trespassing.

5:52 p.m.: An officer responded to Burger Boy, 400 E. Main St., for a report of open alcohol containers in a vehicle. A man was issued a citation for open container.

Monday, April 6

3:28 p.m.: An officer responded to T-Mobile, 2288 E. Main St., after observing a man with warrants inside the store. The man was arrested on two warrants and a citation for possession of less than 4 grams of meth.

4:37 p.m.: An officer responded to Southwest Realty, 210 W. Main St., to assist with trespass notices and later located a man with multiple out-of-county warrants at Conoco, 302 W. Main St. The man was arrested on the warrants.

Tuesday, April 7

1:20 p.m.: An officer responded to the Johnson Building, 925 S. Broadway, for a traffic stop on a man with a warrant. The man was arrested on the warrant.

4:07 p.m.: An officer responded to Cortez Apartments, 620 E. Empire St., for a man with a warrant. The man was arrested on the warrant.

7:58 p.m.: An officer responded to East Montezuma Avenue and Henry Street for a report of a man driving erratically into oncoming traffic. The man fell during testing, striking his head, and was cited and released at the hospital on suspicion of DUI.

Wednesday, April 8

12:27 p.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve a warrant on a man. The man was arrested on the warrant.

12:45 p.m.: An officer responded to City Market, 508 E. Main St., for a shoplifting report. A woman was located nearby with stolen beer concealed in her pants and issued a citation for shoplifting along with a ban from the store.
