Thursday, Jan. 22

6:22 p.m.: An officer responded to the area of Safeway, 1580 E. Main St., for a report of domestic violence. A man allegedly grabbed his partner by her coat and threw her to the ground during a verbal altercation. The man was arrested on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence.

Friday, Jan. 23

5:31 p.m.: An officer responded to Cortez Family Dental, 43 W. Montezuma Ave., for a report of a man camped at the front door. The man, previously banned from the location, was given a citation.

Saturday, Jan. 23

5:14 p.m.: An officer responded to the intersection of North Harrison and East North streets regarding a dispute over vehicle keys. A woman allegedly put a vehicle in park while it was moving, grabbed the keys from the ignition, and fled. She was later located at the Pinon Project, 210 E. Main St., where she assaulted an officer with a jacket. She was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.

Sunday, Jan. 24

5:46 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on West Arbecam Avenue for a report of a fight. A woman and a man provided conflicting accounts of a physical altercation involving pushing, punching and wrestling over rent money. Both were arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace.

Monday, Jan. 25

2:11 a.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of West First Street and South Maple Street for expired registration. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving without a valid license, failure to provide proof of insurance and driving with expired registration.

9:40 a.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Health Department, 106 W. North St., to contact a man previously banned from the location. The man was issued a citation for trespassing.

9:59 a.m.: An officer on patrol in the alley north of The Pie Maker, 17 N. Harrison St., contacted two men sitting on the business steps. Both were previously banned from the location and were each issued citations for trespassing.

Tuesday, Jan. 26

2:39 p.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve a warrant on a woman in custody.

4:27 p.m.: An officer responded to the area around Shiloh Steakhouse, 5 S. Veach St., regarding a man suspected of driving while intoxicated after retrieving a vehicle earlier in the day. The man was arrested.

Wednesday, Jan. 27

10:48 a.m.: An officer responded to the courts, 865 N. Park St., for a warrant service on a woman.

3:02 p.m.: An officer responded to the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St., for a warrant service on a woman present to retrieve property. She was arrested.

Thursday, Jan. 28

1:33 p.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to serve a warrant on a woman detained by court deputies. She was arrested.

4:26 p.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop in front of the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St., for speeding. The female driver had a active warrant and was arrested.

8:06 p.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve a warrant on a woman already in custody.

8:41 p.m.: An officer responded to The Bridge Emergency Shelter, 735 N. Park St., for a report of vehicle damage. Surveillance showed a man allegedly scratching a truck. He was issued a citation for criminal mischief under $300 and banned from the property.

9:54 p.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., for a warrant service on a woman turning herself in.
