1:39 a.m.: An officer responded to Hawkins Preserve, 1500 S. Cedar St., where a vehicle was parked in a closed area. An underage female was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs or both, possession of ethyl alcohol by an underage person and possession of drug paraphernalia. A juvenile male was arrested on suspicion of illegal possession/consumption of ethyl alcohol by an underage person, prohibited use of a weapon, possession of handgun by a juvenile and possession of a controlled substance. Another underage female was given a citation for possession/consumption of ethyl alcohol by an underage person. Suspected cocaine was also found in the vehicle.
12:15 p.m.: An officer responded to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., where a woman was arrested on a warrant.
1:32 p.m.: An officer responded to 500 E. Montezuma Ave., where a man was contacted and found to have a warrant. He was arrested.
1:40 p.m.: An officer responded to the Pinon Project, 210 E. Main St., where a man was arrested on a warrant.
2:08 p.m.: An officer responded to Burger Boy, 400 E. Main St., for a report of an intoxicated driver. A man was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs or both and driving vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more. He was released to his wife.
12:33 a.m.: An officer responded to Cortez Mobile Estates, 621 N. Elm St., for a reported assault. A man was found with visible injuries and detailed an alleged fight with his on again, off again partner. He didn’t wish to press charges on the woman.
2:40 a.m.: An officer responded to Vista Verde Village, 28260 U.S. Highway 160, for a single-vehicle crash into a ditch. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and DUI per se.
1:06 p.m.: An officer responded to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., for a shoplifting report. A woman was issued a citation for theft.
1:08 a.m.: An officer responded to the area near Burger King, 520 W. Main St., after stopping a speeding vehicle. A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving without a valid license, failure to present proof of insurance, driving 10-19 mph above the speed limit and possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle.
4:46 p.m.: An officer responded to the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St., where a man turned himself in on a warrant. He was arrested on the warrant and on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance after he was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
10:42 p.m.: An officer responded to McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St., for a disturbance. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
1:30 a.m.: An officer responded to Handymart, 806 S. Broadway, after stopping a speeding vehicle. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, speeding and possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle.
1:25 p.m.: An officer responded to Montezuma County Health Department, 106 W. North St., where a man was issued a citation for trespassing.
12:03 a.m.: An officer responded to Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, for a man with a reported self-inflicted, accidental gunshot wound. The man was issued a citation for prohibited use of a weapon while intoxicated and possession of an illegal weapon (brass knuckles).
2:30 a.m.: An officer responded to East Empire Street and North Market Street after stopping a vehicle for improper lane usage. A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, failure to drive in a single lane and failing to provide proof of insurance.
4:40 a.m.: An officer responded to a residence on East Second Street for a reported assault. A woman was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault after allegedly hitting another woman repeatedly.
4:18 p.m.: An officer responded to Lotsa Pasta, 925 S. Broadway, after stopping a speeding vehicle with a child passenger. A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving without a valid license, child abuse and speeding 20-24 mph over the speed limit.
4:41 p.m.: An officer responded to City Market, 508 E. Main St., for a trespassing report. A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after being previously banned from the location.
6:58 p.m.: An officer responded to Hong Kong Restaurant, 332 W. Main St., where two men previously banned from a Conoco Gas Station were contacted after leaving the station. Both were issued citations for trespassing.
7:02 p.m.: An officer responded to National 9 Inn, 301 W. Main St., for a domestic disturbance. A man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, harassment and obstruction of telephone services.
7:47 p.m.: An officer responded to Mildred Road and East Hospital Drive after stopping a vehicle with a defective headlight. A man was arrested on a warrant and issued a summons for driving while license revoked.
8:44 p.m.: An officer responded to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., for a shoplifting report. Two women were issued citations for theft, and one of the women was issued a citation for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were also banned from the store.
1:20 a.m.: An officer responded to 1806 Aldridge Road for a disturbance. A man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest after initial, inconsistent stories of suspected domestic violence.
3:19 a.m.: An officer responded to Brubaker Place Apartments, 691 Wyoming St., for unwanted knocking from a woman’s ex-boyfriend. The man was arrested on suspicion of harassment (electronic communication) and domestic violence (repeated communication at residence).
9:01 a.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve five warrants on a man.
2:06 p.m.: An officer responded to Burger King, 520 W. Main St., for a domestic disturbance. A woman was arrested on suspicion of harassment (throwing food at her partner) and domestic violence during an argument.
2:17 p.m.: An officer responded to the Pinon Project, 210 E. Main St., for an assault report. A man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault after allegedly pushing a woman down.
11:43 a.m.: An officer responded to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., for a theft of approximately $890 in cash and items from a FedEx delivery truck. A male suspect, who was also banned from Walmart, was later located and arrested on suspicion of theft, trespassing and criminal possession of a financial device.
6 p.m.: An officer responded to 310 N. Market St. after a traffic stop for improper lane usage. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, careless driving, possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle and failure to drive in a designated lane.
