10:30 a.m.: An officer responded to Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, to arrest a man on a warrant.

6:08 p.m.: An officer responded to Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, to arrest a man on six warrants.

6:19 p.m.: An officer responded to City Market, 508 E. Main St., to arrest a woman on a warrant.

Thursday, July 17

11:45 a.m.: An officer responded to Subway, 1219 E. Main St., for a trespassing incident involving a man previously banned from the location. The man was cited for trespassing.

5:01 p.m.: An officer responded to a hit-and-run at the intersection of East Main Street and Mildred Road, where a man driving struck a vehicle and fled. The officer pursued the vehicle before the car crashed near Sligo Street and Seventh Street. The man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular eluding, DUI, reckless driving, failure to notify police of an accident, failure to yield and weaving. A blood warrant was obtained due to public safety concerns.

Friday, July 18

1:25 a.m.: An officer responded to Speedway, 921 E. Main St., for a man found asleep and naked on the toilet. The man was banned from Speedway and arrested for littering after crumpling and throwing the trespass notice.

10:45 a.m.: An officer responded to the intersection of South Madison Street and East Third Street to arrest a man on a warrant.

12:50 p.m.: An officer responded to 1815 E. Coronado Ave. for a report of a stolen flatbed utility trailer. A traffic stop by another officer provided a partial VIN match, leading to the trailer’s recovery from a man who claimed he borrowed it. The trailer was returned, and the man was issued a summons for theft and third-degree trespass.

5:48 p.m.: An officer responded to Speedway, 921 E. Main St., to arrest a man on a warrant.2

8:10 p.m.: An officer responded to Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., after observing a man lying face down. The man had a restraining order prohibiting alcohol consumption. A preliminary breath test showed a 0.355 result, and after attempting to flee, he was arrested.

Saturday, July 19

2:13 a.m.: An officer initiated a traffic stop on South Beech Street after following a truck leaving Blondie’s Bar. The woman driver failed roadside maneuvers and a breath test. She was charged with DUI, DUI per se, weaving, open container possession and failure to signal, and was released to a sober party.

4:57 a.m.: An officer responded to Maverik Country Store East, 455 N. State St., after a report of a man with a warrant. During the arrest, a hypodermic needle and a metal tooter straw were found, along with suspected methamphetamine in a purse belonging to a woman in the vehicle. The man was arrested on the warrant and for suspected possession of drug paraphernalia. The woman was cited for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

3:07 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on North Elm Street for a person violating a protection order. A search revealed a torch lighter, a pipe and suspected methamphetamine. The woman was arrested on suspicion of protection order violation, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

8:43 p.m.: An officer responded to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., for a man with two warrants. He was arrested, and a woman with him was cited for trespassing.

Sunday, July 20

3:36 a.m.: An officer responded to Speedway, 921 E. Main St., for a report of a man trespassing after a prior ban. The man was issued a citation for trespassing.

8:04 a.m.: An officer responded to Manaugh School, 300 E. Fourth St., for a disturbance involving a man and a woman arguing. The man was arrested on a warrant.

10:41 a.m.: An officer responded to Safeway, 1580 E. Main St., to arrest a man with three warrants.9

7:22 p.m.: An officer responded to Wendy’s, 221 E. Main St., after a report of a stolen phone and charger. The male suspect was located at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St. He was arrested on suspicion of theft of the phone and charger, obstructing a peace officer and theft of watches from Walmart.

7:47 p.m.: An officer responded to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., and cited a man for trespassing.

11:45 p.m.: An officer responded to Oak Meadows Trailer Park for a woman requesting assistance to retrieve some items from a trailer where her brother, previously banned from the property, was present. The man was cited for trespassing.

Monday, July 21

5:14 p.m.: An officer responded to City Market, 508 E. Main St., after a woman allegedly stole items worth $245.33. She was banned from the store and given a citation for shoplifting.

5:22 p.m.: An officer responded to Dollar Tree, 215 S. Sligo St., for a reported stolen vehicle. The man was arrested on a warrant.

5:41 p.m.: An officer observed a man at McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St., who was previously banned from the property. The man was cited for trespassing.

6:27 p.m.: An officer responded to Church of Christ, 631 E. Montezuma Ave., for an argument between a man and woman. A protection order prohibited the man from contacting the woman or consuming alcohol. He was arrested on suspicion of violating both of the protection orders.

Tuesday, July 22

12:07 p.m.: An officer responded to City Market, 508 E. Main St., for shoplifting. The man was located at Montezuma Park, 15 W. Montezuma Ave. and issued a trespass notice and a citation for shoplifting. He was arrested on a warrant.

6:02 p.m.: An officer responded to Econo Lodge, 2020 E. Main St., where a man was seen pulling a pregnant woman’s arm. The man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault, harassment and domestic violence.

7:26 p.m.: An officer responded to Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., for a reported fight involving six people. One man was issued a citation for disorderly conduct, and another man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a protection order and disorderly conduct. Both received 30-day trespass notices from city parks.

Wednesday, July 23

1:01 a.m.: An officer arrested a man on a warrant at Best Western Turquoise, 535 E. Main St.

11:18 a.m.: An officer responded to Pinon Project, 210 E. Main St., to arrest a man on a warrant.

1:56 p.m.: An officer responded to Willow Street for a physical altercation between a father and son. The father said his son choked him. After attempting to resist, the son was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.

2:44 p.m.: An officer responded to Oak Meadows Trailer Park for a domestic issue, and the man was arrested on suspicion of violating the protection order.

3:49 p.m.: An officer responded to Montezuma County Jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve a warrant to a woman.

4:12 p.m.: An officer responded to County Road 29 and County Road M, for a suspected DUI. The officer located the vehicle near Totten Lake. After providing a breath sample of BRAC of 0.374, the man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, failure to present insurance, driving under revocation and a warrant.
