Thursday, June 26

9:43 p.m.: A woman was stopped at Verde Vu Drive and South Oak Street for expired registration. Her license was suspended and she reportedly could not provide proof of insurance. A man in the passenger seat was subject to a protection order. The woman was arrested on suspicion of protection order violation, failure to provide proof of insurance, resisting arrest and driving while license revoked..

Friday, June 27

12:24 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after being found in a running vehicle at the Cortez Outdoor Pool, 803 E. Montezuma Ave, with suspected urine on the ground. He was released to a relative after a blood draw.

11:14 a.m.: A man was arrested at City Market, 508 E. Main St., on a warrant. He had an open bottle of vodka with him and was medically cleared before being transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

4:10 p.m.: A man allegedly shoplifted two boxes of ammunition from Big R, 1319 E. Main St. Officers attempted to serve a trespass notice at his residence but were unsuccessful.

6:55 p.m.: A man was found causing a disturbance at Prairie Mesa Estates, 650 E. Second St. He had been previously banned from one of the apartments at the location. He was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

10:37 p.m.: A man was stopped at Maverik Country Store West, 10223 U.S. Highway 491, for driving erratically. He failed roadside sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving vehicle with license revoked express consent and failing to maintain lane.

11:24 p.m.: Officers responded to a disturbance near Wiggi Wash, 1115 E. Main St. A man was arrested one suspicion of resisting arrest after allegedly acting aggressively toward officers. Another man was cited for intoxicated pedestrian in the roadway.

Saturday, June 28

10:29 a.m.: A man previously banned from City Market, 508 E. Main St., was found near the pharmacy drive-thru. He was verbally aggressive and cited for third-degree criminal trespass.

2:51 p.m.: A man allegedly shoplifted a bottle of liquor from Liquid Assets, 718 E. Main St., by concealing it in his pants and leaving He was later located near the Rec Center and issued a summons for shoplifting. He was also banned from the store.

10:56 p.m.: A man was stopped near Road H and Road 25 after allegedly swerving off the road multiple times. After failing sobriety tests, he was arrested for DUI, failure to provide proof of insurance and failing to drive in a single lane (weaving).

Sunday, June 29

1:49 a.m.: A man was reported for allegedly assaulting a coworker on South Broadway and his girlfriend at another location. The woman had visible injuries and reported being choked and threatened. The man was arrested on suspicion of assault, harassment and driving with a revoked license. Before officers could arrest the woman for suspected domestic violence, she allegedly sneaked out of the ER.

1:28 p.m.: A man previously trespassed from Auto Masters, 237 N. Broadway, was found on the property. He was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

8:14 p.m.: A man was found bleeding from his hands and acting aggressively at the Cozy Inn, 440 S. Broadway. He was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace and property damage.

Monday, June 30

7:57 a.m.: A man with a warrant was arrested at Oak Meadows Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St.

3:35 p.m.: A man with a warrant was located on Hospital Drive. He was arrested and taken to the ER, where he was suspected of using fentanyl or another substance while in the hospital bathroom. He remained at the hospital for treatment

5:55 p.m.: A woman allegedly started a fire at Sikis Village, 321 S. Broadway, by igniting clothes in a closet. She was arrested for arson, cruelty to animals, reckless endangerment and child abuse.

10:01 p.m.: A man was found on the roof of City Hall, 123 N. Roger Smith Ave. He was cited for trespassing on government property.

Tuesday, July 1

1:59 a.m.: A juvenile male fled from police on a bicycle without lights. After a short pursuit, he was found with alcohol, marijuana, a firearm and tools often associated with burglary. He was arrested on suspicion of illegal possession/consumption of ethyl alcohol by an underage person, two counts of failure to possess required mobility device equipment on a bicycle, obstruction of a peace officer, possession of a firearm by a juvenile, prohibited use of a weapon and possession of burglary tools.

2:55 p.m.: Two women were cited for shoplifting $220.45 worth of items from City Market, 508 E. Main St. They were banned from the store.

3:55 p.m.: A man with two warrants was arrested at Fashion and Crafts, 25 E. Main St. He was also banned from the location.

5:40 p.m.: A man with a warrant was arrested at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., on suspicion of his warrant, obstruction, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. He resisted arrest and damaged a patrol vehicle.

5:28 p.m.: A man was arrested for allegedly pushing a woman near the area of Burger Boy, 400 E. Main St., and fleeing from police. He was charged with harassment and obstructing a peace officer.

9:20 p.m.: A woman reported being assaulted by another woman, saying she threw a rock at her near Veterans Park, but video evidence showed that another woman was assaulted. A summons was to be issued to a woman and man for assault.

Wednesday, July 2

7:09 p.m.: A man was allegedly found with a machete at N. Washington St. and E. Main St. He was cooperative and said it was a tool, but was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order.

7:50 p.m.: A man and woman were seen on surveillance stealing solar lights from Tipton Weber Wealth Management, 22 S. Washington St. The man returned two lights and was cited for theft.
