Wednesday, May 21

7:05 a.m.: An officer responded to the City Pool, 803 E. Montezuma Ave., where a man was cited for indecent exposure after allegedly urinating on the building..

2:18 p.m.: A man with a warrant was arrested behind the Pinon Project, 210 E. Main St.

4:13 p.m.: A man was arrested at a residence on East Third Street on suspicion of violating a protection order. Police became aware of the contact between the two after the protected woman was found washing the man’s vehicle at Wiggi Wash on 403 E. 3rd St.

8:50 p.m.: Officers responded to Walmart at 1835 E. Main St., for a domestic violence call. A man and woman were detained near O’Reilly’s and were allegedly found to have stolen merchandise totaling over $500 from Walmart. The man was arrested on suspicion of menacing, harassment, obstructing a peace officer, theft and domestic violence. The woman was arrested on suspicion of theft.

Thursday, May 22

8:29 p.m.: A man was cited for open container and littering at West Third Street and Pine Street after allegedly tossing a beer can into a yard when discovered by police.

9:40 p.m.: A man allegedly shoplifted a crossbow and a hunting bag, among other possible items, from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

Friday, May 23

10:50 a.m.: A man previously trespassed was cited again at Cortez Plaza, 2200 E. Main St., after attempting to order a pizza from Domino’s and refusing to leave the property.

7:38 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and bond violations, which state he shall not possess or consume alcohol, at Durango Organics, 1013 E. Main St., after stealing allegedly stealing two jackets from the store.

7:53 p.m.: A man with a warrant was arrested at the City Pool, 803 E. Montezuma Ave.

Saturday, May 24

8:23 a.m.: Two men with warrants were arrested near City Market, 508 E. Main St.

12:09 p.m.: A man with a warrant was arrested at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

4:10 p.m.: A man with a warrant was arrested at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

11:18 p.m.: A man, who earlier in the day had requested to be arrested, caused a disturbance at Blondie’s Bar, 45 E. Main St., and was arrested after allegedly running into traffic and threatening officers.

Sunday, May 25

8:08 a.m.: A man was cited for trespassing at the Montezuma County Health Dept., 106 W. North St. He was previously banned from the location.

11:13 a.m.: A man and woman were cited for open container violations at City Market, 508 E. Main St. The man was also cited for interfering/resisting an officer.

1:27 p.m.: A man was arrested for criminal mischief, harassment and domestic violence at Handymart, 806 S. Broadway, after allegedly threatening his partner.

3:27 p.m.: A woman with a New Mexico warrant was arrested at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. She was also banned from Walmart.

Monday, May 26

12:24 a.m.: A deputy responded to a disturbance involving loud noise on Montezuma Avenue. A woman was warned after a prior call for being intoxicated and disruptive. She was later found yelling profanities in the street and banging on her mother’s door. She was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace.

9:59 a.m.: An officer observed two men drinking vodka at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St. Both were cited for open container and possession of alcohol in the park, and issued a 24-hour ban.

12:17 p.m.: An officer responded to Walmart at 1835 E. Main St., where a woman was alleged to have shoplifted a cart full of items. The woman was contacted by phone and agreed to meet at the police department. She was issued a summons for theft totaling $220.68 and trespassed from the property indefinitely.

12:39 p.m.: A man was cited for indecent exposure at a park near 500 E. Third St., after being found lying on the ground with his pants down.

4:00 p.m.: A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving without a valid license, careless driving and resisting arrest at Dairy Queen, 7006 U.S. Highway 160, after being reported as a drunk driver.

11:17 p.m.: A woman was trespassed and a man was cited for trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St., after a disturbance involving a broken watermelon.

Wednesday, May 28

5:40 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more, careless driving and displaying expired number plates after rear-ending another vehicle at East Main Street and Mildred Road.
