Thursday, May 1

8:28 a.m.: An officer arrested a woman near Tequilas Mexican Restaurant, 1740 E. Main St., on a warrant.

11:19 a.m.: An officer responded to Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., for a physical altercation between two women. Upon arrival, a passerby was pulling one woman off another. One of the women was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault.

3:45 p.m.: An officer responded to a fight near N. Park St. and E. Montezuma Ave. involving multiple people. One man was found with a head injury and said he had been hit with a skateboard. Another man had allegedly been stabbed in the arm by the first man. The first man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, felony menacing and harassment.

7:50 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on North Elm Street for a disturbance and potential suicide attempt. A man was arrested on a warrant and a woman was transported to the hospital.

11:39 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on North Elm Street for a disturbance. A man was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of domestic violence and property damage.

Friday, May 2

7:55 a.m.: An officer observed a man named lying in the doorway of St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church, 28 E. Montezuma Ave., who had been previously banned. The man was issued a citation.

8:06 a.m.: An officer initiated a traffic stop and arrested a man on a warrant.

2:08 p.m.: An officer issued citations to two men during a traffic stop. One man was cited on suspicion of failure to present proof of insurance, unlawful possession of less than 4 grams controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to signal as required, failure to drive in a single lane and driver’s vision obscured through required glass. The other man was cited on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia.

6:59 p.m.: An officer responded to the Carpenter Wilderness Area, 40 E. Driscoll St., for illegal camping. A man was issued a citation for trespassing and illegal camping.

11:48 p.m.: An officer issued a citation to a man allegedly trespassing at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church, where he had been previously banned.

Saturday, May 3

10:35 a.m.: An officer responded to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., for a reported shoplifting incident. A man was issued a citation for shoplifting and banned from the store.

10:54 a.m.: An officer issued a man a citation for trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., where he is banned.

4:54 p.m.: An officer responded to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., for a trespassing incident. A woman was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of controlled substances, second-degree burglary and theft. 2

5:27 p.m.: An officer initiated a traffic stop on Mesa Verde Street after observing a man driving without a driver’s license. The man was issued a summons for driving without a license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

7:30 p.m.: An officer responded to East Seventh Street for a man attempting to break into a residence. A man was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and violation of bond conditions.

Sunday, May 4

12:39 a.m.: An officer responded to Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, for a warrant service. A man was arrested on the warrant and given a trespass order from a residence on South Pine Street.

Monday, May 5

6:43 p.m.: An officer responded to Days Inn, 2604 E. Main St., for a domestic disturbance. A woman was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence after allegedly hitting her partner in the back of the head by throwing an object and hitting him in the face.

6:34 p.m.: An officer responded to the Pinon Project, 210 E. Main St., for alleged assault. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating bond conditions.

9:38 p.m.: An officer responded to the Cortez Recreation Center, 425 N. Roger Smith Ave., for an altercation. A man was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing after allegedly brandishing a knife at others.

Tuesday, May 6

3:10 a.m.: An officer responded to a residence on North Madison Street for a domestic disturbance. A woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence after allegedly hitting her ex-boyfriend in the face and harassing him.

12:31 p.m.: A woman was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:54 p.m.: An officer responded to the White Eagle Inn, 2110 S. Broadway, for unauthorized individuals. A man and a woman were issued trespass citations.

2:38 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on North Ash Street for a protection order violation. A woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order which prevents her from being in contact with two other women.

8:37 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on Navajo Street for a restraining order violation. A woman was arrested.

Wednesday, May 7

7:21 a.m.: An officer responded to Hospital Drive and North Mildred Road for a warrant service, and a man was arrested.

10:55 a.m.: An officer responded to City Market, 508 E. Main St., for a suspected theft from a vehicle. Two suspects, a man and a woman, were arrested on suspicion of theft and identity theft.

12:25 p.m.: An officer responded to City Market, 508 E. Main St., for a disturbance, and a man was arrested on suspicion of private property damage and disturbing the peace. The man allegedly caused damage inside the bakery and deli, as well as slamming his bike into another person’s car.

12:56 p.m.: An officer responded to Wendy’s, 221 E. Main St., for a man chasing a woman. A man was arrested on suspicion of harassment, disorderly conduct, third-degree trespassing and menacing after allegedly chasing a woman from Wendy’s and repeatedly trying to grab her before others intervened.

4:17 p.m.: An officer responded to Front Row Seat, 610 E. Main St., and a man was issued a citation for trespassing.
