Thursday, April 10

1:47 a.m.: Officers responded to The Bridge Emergency Shelter, 735 N. Park St., where a man was found with identification and financial cards belonging to another person. He was cited for identity theft and possession of a financial device.

7:59 a.m.: Police were called to Elevated Smoke N Vape, 2236 E. Main St., for a trespassing issue involving a man loitering and panhandling, making customers feel unsafe. He was issued a summons for trespassing and a notice barring him from Cortez Plaza.

12:19 p.m.: A disturbance at Aneth Lodge, 645 E. Main St., involved two women attempting to break into a unit, demanding drugs. One woman, allegedly intoxicated and providing a false identity, was arrested on suspicion of obstruction, criminal impersonation, violating a protection order and two warrants.

2:09 p.m.: At Pinon Project, 210 E. Main St., a woman allegedly broke a vehicle mirror and acted aggressively, crossing streets unsafely and yelling profanities. She resisted arrest before being taken to the ER for a hand injury. She was booked for disturbing the peace and resisting officers.

7:01 p.m.: At Parque De Vida, 400 N. Mildred Rd., a man with three warrants was arrested. He was medically cleared at the hospital due to suspected intoxication.

Friday, April 11

7:31 a.m.: On East Main Street and Mildred Road, a man with four warrants was arrested.

8:35 a.m.: Police responded to Aneth Lodge, 645 E. Main St., for a reported assault in the parking lot. A traffic stop located the involved vehicle, and the driver, a woman with a warrant, was arrested. No assault charges were pursued by the parties involved.

9:04 a.m.: A Xbox that was reported stolen from Rust Trailer Park, 621 N. Elm St., was traced to KP Pawn. A man admitted to pawning it, claiming a woman gave him access to the residence. He was cited for theft.

11:08 a.m.: At Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., where he is banned, a man attempted to fight others, throwing punches and a bicycle. He was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace, trespassing and possessing alcohol.

4:12 p.m.: At Centennial Park, 515 N. Mildred Road, a man was cited for an open container and dog running at large. He was trespassed from city parks for 24 hours.

8:33 p.m.: At White Eagle Inn, 2110 S. Broadway, a man previously banned was found in a room. He admitted to trespassing to check on his father and was issued a summons for trespassing.

10:04 p.m.: Near East Main Street and North Harrison Street, a man was arrested on suspicion after nearly hitting another vehicle and showing signs of intoxication. A breath test revealed a BAC of 0.234, and he was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more, failing to drive in a single lane (weaving) and careless driving.

Saturday, April 12

10:20 a.m.: At Hong Kong Restaurant, 332 W. Main St., a woman with two warrants was arrested in the parking lot. A search found marijuana and drug paraphernalia, including items consistent with fentanyl use. She was cited with possession of drug paraphernalia after being transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

6:22 p.m.: At a residence on Livesay Drive, a man was arrested on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence after allegedly slapping his ex-girlfriend on the back of the head, breaking her cigarettes and dumping her coffee during an uninvited visit.

Sunday, April 13

1:49 a.m.: On South Broadway, a man was arrested after allegedly speeding 49 mph in a 35 mph zone and weaving into another lane. A breath test showed a BAC of 0.175, and an open beer bottle was found in the vehicle. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, speeding, failure to drive in a single lane, failure to drive on the right side of the road and having an open alcohol container within reach while driving.

9:29 a.m.: On North Ash Street, a woman with a warrant was arrested during a civil disturbance investigation. A search also found drug paraphernalia. She was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at the Montezuma County Detention Center.

10:33 a.m.: At 100 S. Maple St., a traffic stop revealed a man failed voluntary sobriety tests, and a vehicle search found open alcohol containers and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI with a BAC of 0.092 and DUI per se, operating uninsured motor vehicle, driving with license revoked, displaying fictitious tabs, disregarded stop sign, possession of drug paraphernalia, open alcohol container in motor vehicle and failure to display valid registration.

5:56 p.m.: At City Pool, 803 E. Montezuma Ave., a woman was arrested on suspicion of violating bail bond conditions by consuming alcohol and punching another woman at the park. After initially resisting arrest, she was medically cleared before being booked for disturbing the peace, violation of bail bond conditions and littering.

9:39 p.m.: At Cortez Apartments, 620 E. Empire St., a man with visible injuries was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order by consuming alcohol. He was medically cleared due to intoxication and injuries before being booked.

Tuesday, April 15

3:17 p.m.: At City Market, 508 E. Main St., a man with two warrants was arrested.

3:39 p.m.: At Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St., a woman with a warrant was arrested in the lobby.

7:33 p.m.: At Maverik Country Store, 10223 U.S. Highway 491, a man with a warrant was arrested after allegedly harassing customers.

8:06 p.m.: At Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St., a woman with multiple warrants was arrested after reportedly being found intoxicated and illegally camping.

Wednesday, April 16

11:24 a.m.: At Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., a man was served five warrants, including a felony charge for assault on a peace officer, after being transported from another jurisdiction.

4:07 p.m.: At Southwest Walk-In Clinic, 1413 N. Mildred Road, a woman with warrants was arrested. Syringes, one suspected to contain methamphetamine, were found near her.

5:07 p.m.: Near East Montezuma Avenue and North Harrison Street, a man was arrested for violating a protection order that states he shall not possess dangerous weapons. He was allegedly found with brass knuckles during a fight investigation.
