Thursday, May 2

9:40 a.m. A woman was arrested on a failure to appear warrant and a man was issued a summons for shoplifting and a summons for trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

2:37 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of a protection order violation that prohibits her from possessing or consuming alcohol and for third-degree trespassing at the Prairie Mesa Estates, 650 E. Second St.

8:41 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving motor vehicle when license is denied, failed to provide proof of insurance, and open container at the Duck Pond, 515 N. Mildred Road.

Friday, May 3

12:01 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at 27 N. Beech St.

1:28 a.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of failure to drive in a single lane, DUI, and DUI per se at 11000 Road 25.

3:26 a.m. A man was arrested at the Cozy Inn, 440 S. Broadway, on a warrant and for violating an active protection order that states he shall not possess or consume alcohol.

11:31 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

5:16 p.m. A man who was attempting to hide under a car, after being issued a never expiring trespass order, was arrested for trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

11:01 p.m. An officer arrested a man on an Archuleta County warrant on the corner of Park and Second St., 200 S. Park St. The man was reported to have been speeding on Main Street, and threatening other drivers.

Saturday, May 4

1:29 p.m. Officers on foot patrol at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St. arrested a woman on a warrant and cited her with violating a protection order that states she shall not possess or consume alcohol.

2:38 p.m. An officer arrested two women who were involved in a fight at Speedway, 921 E. Main St. One woman was arrested on suspicion of vehicular eluding, third-degree assault, harassment, displayed expired registration and reckless driving. The other woman was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and harassment for her involvement in the altercation.

5:29 p.m. A man was arrested on three warrants at 1498 Acoma St.

6:12 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree trespassing and for violating multiple restraining orders that state he shall not possess or consume alcohol at the Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St.

9:52 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant while he was sitting outside of Garcia & Co. Jewelers, 450 E. Main St.

10:24 p.m. An officer took a report for an assault where a man was beaten with a guitar at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St.

Sunday, May 5

11:23 a.m. A man was cited with trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

2:57 p.m. An officer took a report from a woman who stated a neighbor left a Medicare card at her door, and when she went to open it he came back, put his foot in the doorway to block it, then got in her face to verbally assault her. The man, who has a history of harassing other tenants, was cited with harassment at Cortez Park Apartments, 23 W. 7th St.

5:50 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a woman in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:39 p.m. An officer arrested a man on three La Plata County warrants at Denny Lake, 2825 E. Main St.

9:16 p.m. A man was arrested for trespassing at the Econo Lodge, 2020 E. Main St.

9:08 p.m. An officer took a report for property damage at the Hawkins Preserve, 1500 S. Cedar St.

9:34 p.m. An officer took a report for a hit-and-run at the Ocean Pearl restaurant, 300 E. Main St.

Monday, May 6

1:34 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more and careless driving after leaving West Slope Liquors, 2212 E. Main St. The woman was driving a vehicle that was reported to Cortez dispatch as a reckless driver that almost hit a telephone pole, was parked at a stoplight until other drivers honked their horn and was swerving all over the road.

10:25 p.m. A man was arrested for suspicion if criminal mischief at 412 S. Chestnut St.

11:23 p.m. A man was arrested on a U.S. District Court warrant at 4X4 Auto Sales, 1551 S. Broadway.

Tuesday, May 7

9:35 a.m. A man was arrested after a reported REDDI described the vehicle he was driving was located in the parking lot of Lotsa Pasta, 439 E. Main St. The man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, failed to present proof of insurance, drove vehicle without a valid license, and weaving.

Wednesday, May 8

5:35 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant at Walgreens, 1671 E. Main St.

11:19 p.m. An officer responding to a residence in Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St. for an unwanted person arrested a man on a warrant and suspicion of violating a protection order that states he is prohibited from possessing or consuming alcohol. The officer also served the man with a never expiring trespass order for the residence.
