Thursday, April 4

11:33 p.m. A woman was arrested under suspicion of trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

12:19 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on a warrant at 1100 N. Mildred Road.

1:20 p.m. A man turning himself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was arrested and booked on two warrants.

3:25 p.m. A man was arrested at 909 Brookside Drive for violating two protection orders that state he shall not possess or consume alcoholic beverages.

Friday, April 5

10:37 a.m. An officer served a woman a summons for speeding, driving a vehicle when the safety belt was not in use, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and driving without a valid driver’s license at 900 E. Seventh St.

11:12 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant in the parking lot of City Market, 508 W. Main St.

11:45 a.m. An officer took a report for a car accident at the Holiday Inn Express, 2121 E. Main St. A woman was issued a summons for unsafe backing.

2:37 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on a felony trespass warrant that was transported by the U.S. Marshal’s Office to be placed into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:08 p.m. A woman was issued a summons for shoplifting in the amount of $269.99 and a trespass notice at Big R, 1319 E. Main St.

10:40 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DWAI, failing to present proof of insurance, illegal consumption of alcohol by an underage person, possessing an open alcoholic container in motor vehicle, and failing to use turn signals at 10 E. Main St.

Saturday, April 6

2:57 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of violating an alcohol protection order at Ocean Pearl, 300 E. Main St.

5:49 p.m. An officer took a report for a damaged vehicle at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. The vehicle’s mirror was broken off and hanging by the wire. Surveillance footage showed an older man breaking the mirror with a cart as he walked past the car and leaving in a Trans Am car.

11:37 p.m. A man was cited with displaying an expired temporary permit, failing to present proof of insurance, and driving a vehicle without a valid driver’s license at the Handymart, 806 S. Broadway.

Sunday, April 7

3:13 a.m. A woman who was sleeping under a dining table at Denny’s, 2059 E. Main St., was arrested after multiple attempts to persuade her to make her exit of the establishment, and she became combative with officers. The woman was issued a felony hold slip for assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest, obstructing, and trespass when she kicked an officer and was fighting to keep her hands away from officers who were attempting to get the woman out from under the table. Denny’s staff requested she be trespassed.

5:18 p.m. A man was arrested at City Market, 508 E. Main St., on a warrant that was issued for domestic violence and harassment. In the officer’s report, the man stated, “he did not feel like he committed a crime, that he just got mad and texted the mother of his children some stupid crap.” The officer explained to him that, “domestic violence does not have to be physical,” and “what the man was telling the officer was incriminating and will be included in the officer’s report.”

6:24 p.m. A man was arrested on two warrants for failing to appear and violating a protection order that states he shall not possess or consume alcohol at City Market, 508 E. Main St. The highly intoxicated man was reportedly inside an employee’s vehicle. The officer observed the man trying to enter another vehicle, but it was locked, then the man walked off to approach another vehicle with an elderly lady inside. That is when the officer stopped him and asked him to have a seat in his patrol vehicle for the safety of the public until he could complete his investigation.

8:57 p.m. An officer cited a man with driving on a suspended license, driving a defective vehicle, and displaying expired number plates and arrested his passenger, a woman, on a warrant at 700 S. Chestnut St.

11:59 p.m. An officer took a report for a dog bite in the 200 block of S. Harrison St.

Monday, April 8

3:29 p.m. An officer arrested a man for three warrants at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

Tuesday, April 9

2:40 a.m. A man was arrested and held on a felony hold slip for second-degree assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct when a report was made that a man was disturbing the peace by playing his music loudly in his trailer at Oak Meadows Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St.

11:51 a.m. An officer took a report for property damage at Parque De Vida, 400 N. Mildred Road.

6:24 p.m. An officer arrested a man who was reportedly antagonizing customers at City Market, 508 E. Main St. trying to instigate fights. The employees requested the man be trespassed, but upon the officer’s investigation, the man had already been trespassed in March and was arrested on suspicion of violating the two-year trespass order.

10:19 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and protection order violation in the 1800 block of Rampart Street.

10:59 p.m. An officer arrested a man with two warrants who was turning himself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Wednesday, April 10

5:34 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at Safeway, 1580 E. Main St.
