Thursday, Jan. 18

7:02 a.m. An officer took a report for a man’s work truck in the 2500 block of Fairway Drive.

1:57 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

2:59 p.m. A woman was arrested for suspicion of trespassing at the Quality Inn, 1120 E. Main St.

6:06 p.m. An officer responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the 2200 block of E. Main St. The vehicle was stuck on a curb. Three men were reportedly seen prior to the officers arrival attempting to free the vehicle. The men were located at the Econo Lodge, where one male was identified as having a warrant out for his arrest, and he was cited with obstructing a peace officer for attempting to flee. Another man was charged with violating a protection order, failing to notify police of a traffic accident and careless driving.

6:57 p.m. A woman turned herself into the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. on three active warrants.

10:17 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on a warrant in the 10 block of Mildred Road after a report for an unwanted person was made.

Friday, Jan. 19

2:54 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop for running a red light in the 20 block of S. Broadway.

4:12 a.m. A man was arrested on three warrants in the 1600 block of Taylor St. after a report for an unwanted person was made.

8:26 a.m. An officer cited a man with shoplifting at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

12:41 p.m. An officer took a report for theft in the amount of $1,400 at the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St.

2:28 p.m. An officer served and arrested a man on a warrant and placed him in the custody of the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

2:55 p.m. An officer took a report of larceny from a vehicle in the 900 block of Memorial Drive.

3:15 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving without a valid driver’s license, reckless driving, and failed to notify police of an accident at 400 S. Broadway. The woman was also served with a Colorado Express Consent Affidavit and a Notice of Revocation at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:57 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at City Market, 508 E. Main St., after a report for an unwanted person was made because he was disturbing customers outside.

8:09 p.m. A man was cited with trespassing at the Maverick Country Store, 455 N. State St.

10:39 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on three warrants after a local bail bondsman had brought her into the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

10:46 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Saturday, Jan. 20

9:35 a.m. An officer took a report for a counterfeit bill used at the Liquid Assets Liquor Store, 718 E. Main St.

Sunday, Jan. 21

4:07 a.m. An officer arrested a woman on a protection order violation that states she shall not possess or consume alcohol or controlled substances at the Aneth Lodge, 645 E. Main St.

8:15 a.m. A woman was cited with third-degree assault, domestic violence and child abuse, then was arrested for a warrant in the Oak Meadows Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St.

2:26 p.m. An officer took a report for larceny from a vehicle in the 300 block of E. Main St,. where a man reported three handguns and ammunition were stolen from his vehicle.

5:42 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:11 p.m. An officer took a report for fraud/swindle at Elevation Head Shop, 30 E. Main St.

6:47 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and harassment in the 1600 block of Taylor St.

Monday, Jan. 22

6:53 a.m. An officer served a warrant to a woman in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11 a.m. An officer took a report of theft from a woman who witnessed the incident at Safeway, 1580 E. Main St. The suspected woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting, second-degree assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest, obstruction and third-degree trespass.

2:17 p.m. An officer took a report for a threat made at the Cortez Administration Center, 400 N. Elm St.

Tuesday, Jan. 23

11:40 a.m. An officer took a report for property damage at the Social Security Office, 109 W. Main St.

3:47 p.m. A man was cited with unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon outside the Good Samaritan Center, 30 N. Beech St.

4:24 p.m. An officer cited a man with shoplifting and trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., the accompanying man and woman were also issued trespass notices, the man for 30 days, and the woman was issued a non-expiring trespass notice.

5:39 p.m. An officer took a report for theft at Big R, 1319 E. Main St. The suspected couple was found at Walmart. During questioning, the woman was cited with interfering with an officer and the man was arrested on a warrant.

9:06 p.m. An officer took a report for a larceny from a vehicle in the 100 block of S. Market St.

Wednesday, Jan. 24

6:44 a.m. An officer took a report of larceny from a vehicle in the 500 block of E. Second St., where a man reported $20 in change and a $200 bottle of cologne was taken.
