Thursday, Dec. 14

11:45 a.m. An officer took a report for damaged property at 1580 E. Main St.

2:07 p.m. An officer issued a man a never expiring trespass notice at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., after the man received his notice he crumpled it up and threw it on the ground, after the officer told him not to throw it on the ground. The officer then cited the man with littering.

3:45 p.m. A man was arrested on two warrants at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St. The man initially claimed to have a head injury, and medical responders were called, during transport to the hospital the man bit an EMT on the forearm. The man was cited with a felony hold slip for assault in the second degree.

6:25 p.m. An officer arrested and served a woman a warrant for her arrest in the 2200 block of E. Main St.

Friday, Dec. 15

9:14 a.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of assault in the first degree after a report from the victim that she had stabbed him. The woman was also cited with unlawful carrying of a lethal weapon, domestic violence, and possession of drug paraphernalia at 2258 E. Main St.

4:13 p.m. An officer took a report forgery of checks and theft at 2258 E. Main St.

9:15 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and disturbing the peace after two reports of him trespassing on private property were made in the 1200 block of Montelores Ave.

9:26 p.m. An officer served warrants to a man and two women in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center at 730 E. Driscoll St.

Saturday, Dec. 16

4:35 a.m. A man was cited and arrested under suspicion of third-degree assault at 309 N. Broadway.

5:44 a.m. A man was arrested on two warrants and for violating a protection order that states he shall not possess or consume alcohol at 311 N. Henry St.

9:01 a.m. A man was arrested under suspicion of violating a protection order at 621 N. Elm St.

11:40 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 1580 E. Seventh St.

5:52 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 1835 E. Main St.

9:03 p.m. An officer cited a woman with failure to provide proof of insurance, driving under revoked license, and required position while turning, the officer also arrested her passenger, on a warrant at 300 E. Montezuma Ave.

Sunday, Dec. 17

1 a.m. An officer arrested a man for suspicion of harassment and domestic violence at 620 W. Seventh St.

3:29 p.m. A man was cited with a protection order violation summons and given notification of a warrant out for his arrest at 504 S. Broadway. The man was not medically cleared for detention and transported out of the area hospital for medical care services.

4:16 p.m. An officer took a report for larceny in the 400 block of S. Linden St.

5:44 p.m. A man was arrested for two protection-order violations after a domestic disturbance was reported at 508 E. Main St.

Monday, Dec. 18

6:04 a.m. An officer took a report for a stolen vehicle at the 1000 block of E. Main St. when a man walked out to start his work truck he noticed his wife’s vehicle was missing.

3:06 p.m. A woman reported theft/larceny when her wallet was taken from her unlocked vehicle at 10 W. Fifth St.

11:51 p.m. An officer noticed a truck passed in front of him with no headlights, the officer followed it to a residence in the 800 block of S. Broadway. The driver was cited with DUI, and obstructing an officer after attempting to flee the area on foot, then he was arrested on three warrants. The driver had a passenger who attempted to flee into the residence, he was cited and released.

Tuesday, Dec. 19

9:58 a.m. An officer cited a woman on the 100 block of W. First St. with a criminal traffic citation for occupying her inoperable recreational vehicle on the city streets.

1:34 p.m. A man was cited with third-degree assault after a report was made that he had pushed over an elderly woman at 221 E. Main St.

2:18 p.m. A woman was cited with and arrested for unlawful conduct on public property, resisting arrest, second-degree assault on a medical provider, and obstructing a peace officer at the 500 block of Mildred Road.

3:58 p.m. A man filed a report for larceny from his yard when he noticed that five of his floor jack stands were missing from the 1200 block of Montelores Ave.

4:42 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

Wednesday, Dec. 20

8:35 a.m. An officer cited a woman on the 100 block of W. First St. with a criminal traffic citation for occupying her inoperable recreational vehicle on the city streets.

7:02 p.m. A man was arrested under suspicion of violating a protection order that specifies he does not consume or possess alcohol at Axis Health, 6910 E. Empire St.

7:51 p.m. An officer took a report of larceny from a vehicle at the Safeway, 1580 E. Main St.
