Thursday, Aug. 3

6:05 a.m. A man lying on a trampoline in the 200 block of East Fourth Street was cited with trespassing.

9:12 a.m. A man turned himself over to the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on two warrants.

10:27 a.m. A man in the 600 block of North Elm Street was arrested on two warrants.

11:10 a.m. A woman turned himself over to the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant.

12:29 p.m. A person cut the hose and took the brass fittings on a air pump at Chevron, 717 S. Broadway.

1:16 p.m. A man driving in the 1800 block of East Seventh Street did not come to a complete stop at the intersection of East Seventh Street and Silgo Street. The man was arrested on a warrant and cited with not wearing safety belt, disregarding a stop sign and failing to provide insurance.

4:44 p.m. A man having a seizure in the 600 block of South Broadway was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of abusing toxic vapors.

Friday, Aug. 4

7:45 a.m. An employee of Colorado Title & Closing, 631 E. Main St., found a window broken out on the North Side of the business.

9:30 a.m. A person dressed in all black ran out of Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., with a case of beer. The person ran into the sliding doors on the way out and knock them off the rails.

9:40 a.m. A man in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St., was arrested on six warrants. During the arrest, a small bottle with a white powdery substance was found on the man and tested presumptive positive for meth.

9:55 a.m. A man in the 800 block of Brookside Drive was cited for not possessing a city license for dogs and maintenance of animals that disturb the peace.

1:23 p.m. A woman cleaning out her deceased father’s home in the 1600 block of Taylor Street found that there were several things had gone missing. The things missing were coal bucket, three antique wheels, an antique seeder and a sundial.

9:09 p.m. An officer at Denny Lake, 2825 E. Main St., found a white spray-paint tagging on the woman’s restroom door and on a utility door.

9:56 p.m. A person driving a truck Westbound in the 900 block of East Empire Street hit the rear of a vehicle stopped at the Empire Street and Mildred Road intersection.

Saturday, Aug. 5

12:59 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence. The woman had shoved and hit a man she was in a relationship with while at Angel’s Endzone, 309 N. Broadway.

1:47 p.m. A man trying to fight people at the Tomahawk motel, 728 S. Broadway, hit the motel manager in the arm and was taken to the ground by people nearby. The man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order, harassment and resisting arrest.

5:03 p.m. A man at First Street Carwash, 21 S. Harrison St., was arrested on a warrant.

8:23 p.m. A man at City Market, 508 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order and resisting arrest. The man was asking another man a question repeatedly in an aggressive manner. The second man threw the first man to the ground and punched him before letting him go with a warning.

9:04 p.m. Three women took several items from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., without paying. This was the second time the group had taken things, the first time they were stopped by loss prevention and given a warning.

11:04 p.m. A woman weaving and driving faster than the posted speed limit was arrested in the 2100 block of East Empire Street on suspicion of driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving an uninsured vehicle. An officer tried pulling the woman over in the 2200 block of East Main Street, but the woman turned onto North State Street, then East Empire Street and slowed for emergency equipment near Arbor Street before coming to a stop.

Sunday, Aug. 6

12:32 a.m. A man broke a front door window at National 9 Inn, 301 W. Main St., and was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief and violating a protection order.

3:25 a.m. A man was pulled over in the 300 block of North Silgo Street for no break lights and missing turn signal. The man was cited with driving a defective vehicle, failing to present insurance and driving with a revoked license.

10:07 a.m. A man sleeping in the Safeway parking lot, 1580 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order and trespassing.

6:59 p.m. A man in the 2200 block of East Main Street was arrested on two warrants.

8:05 p.m. A woman walking in the 100 block of North Park Street was arrested on a warrant.

Monday, Aug. 7

12:27 a.m. A woman in the Handy Mart parking lot, 806 S. Broadway, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving with a revoked license, violating a protection order and possessing an open alcohol container in a vehicle.

11:57 a.m. A man receiving care at the Southwest Memorial Hospital emergency room, 1211 N. Mildred Road, was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace. The man reportedly was upset, yelling and running run around the emergency room.

2:04 p.m. A man in the 300 block of North Linden Street found his shed had been broken into and several items were missing.

5:45 p.m. A man in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St., was cited with trespassing.

Tuesday, Aug. 8

12:18 a.m. A woman who allegedly took a 12-pack of beer from Speedway, 921 E. Main St., was cited with shoplifting.

2:40 a.m. A man at Tomahawk Motel, 728 S. Broadway, shot a flare, which landed in nearby brush causing a fire. The fire damaged a 10-by-20-foot area of the property. The estimated cost of repairs is $2,000.

10:41 a.m. A yellow scooter, a stainless steel fridge and a stainless steel range were taken from a garage in the 200 block of South Maple Street. The items were being stored there by the homeowner who was remodeling the home.

11:05 a.m. A woman turned herself over to the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St, on a warrant.

2:05 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:53 p.m. A woman driving in the 500 block of South Broadway was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of driving without insurance, driving with a revoked license and displaying expired plates.

Wednesday, Aug. 9

3:44 a.m. A woman in the 200 block of West Main Street arrested on a warrant.

7:49 a.m. A man in front of 720 East Main Street was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of trespassing.

9:46 a.m. A woman turned herself over to the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St, on a warrant.

10:57 a.m. A woman in the 1200 block of East Main Street was arrested on a warrant.

1:50 p.m. A man who took alcohol and a razor from City Market, 508 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order and shoplifting.
