Saturday, July 11

8:17 a.m. Police responded to the Johnson Building for a possible burglary. A chain saw was reported missing.

8:25 a.m. Police responded to a residence on the 1300 block of Cottonwood Street in reference to a damaged vehicle. A woman reported that her husband scratched its paint.

10:24 a.m. Police responded to an incident of a female juvenile runaway. The missing subject was found with her juvenile boyfriend. Both were arrested in connection to a home burglary. The boyfriend was charged with burglary, trespass, criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia, and released into his mother’s custody. The runaway was charged with burglary, trespass, criminal impersonation and theft, and then held at a juvenile detention facility.

2:14 p.m. Police responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting incident involving two females, one a juvenile. The adult female reportedly attempted to steal $356 worth of cosmetics and electronics. After a struggle, the adult woman was arrested and charged with shoplifting, underage drinking and resisting arrest. The juvenile was ticketed for shoplifting and released into her father’s custody.

4:21 p.m. Police responded to the 800 block of Ridge Drive in reference to a missing automobile. A man was arrested on several outstanding warrants.

6:01 p.m. Police responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting incident. A woman and her two grandsons reportedly bagged $1,367 worth of items into three carts and attempted to leave without paying. The woman was arrested and charged with theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

6:54 p.m. Police responded to a verbal disturbance at the Colorado West Trailer Park. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Dolores County.

11:56 p.m. Police responded to the Unlimited Learning Center, where they found a woman bleeding from the mouth. She decline to cooperate with officers.

Sunday, July 12

12:17 a.m. Police responded to Sleeping Ute Apartments after a 911 call. A man was arrested for violating a protection order.

Monday, July 13

1:37 p.m. Police responded to an auto accident at Axis Mental Health. A woman was ticketed for unsafe driving. A man was arrested for violating a protection order.

3:15 p.m. Police responded to a residence on the 400 block of E. Arbecam Avenue in reference to a disturbance. A convicted sex offender reportedly killed a dog, ransacked the home and assaulted both his mother and brother. Police seized a .357 handgun, sawed off 20-gauge shotgun, .45-caliber muzzleloader, three knives and ammunition from the scene. The investigation was turned over to the District Attorney’s Office. No arrests were reported.

7:52 p.m. Police responded to Walmart after a man was accused of stealing a $7 USB cable. The man fled the scene in a pink SUV. Police used surveillance footage to find the suspect, who old police they couldn’t use his photo, because he had “trademarked his body.” He was ticketed for shoplifting.

8:43 p.m. Police were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting incident in which the women admitted to bagging various food and healthcare items while shopping, and then attempting to exit the store without paying. Losses totaled nearly $300. Both women were ticketed for shoplifting.

Tuesday, July 14

11:44 a.m. Police arrested a woman in Centennial Park on three outstanding warrants.

9:04 p.m. Police arrested a woman at the Travel Lodge on an outstanding warrant.

9:10 p.m. Police arrested a woman at a residence on the 500 block of W. 6th Street on three outstanding warrants.

Wednesday, July 15

2:03 a.m. Police arrested a man on the 500 block of E. Main Street on an outstanding warrant. When apprehended, the man was found to be in possession of .5 grams of methamphetamine.

12 p.m. A woman reported her windshield was broken while on the 500 block of E. Arbecam Street.

2:42 p.m. A resident on the 1400 block of Mesa Verde Street reported an air compressor, pressure washer and air hose were stolen from an unlocked detached garage. An iPod and a backpack full of climbing equipment, valued at $4,000, were also reported stolen from a vehicle.

3:39 p.m. Police responded to Centennial Park in reference to a public urination incident. A woman was arrested and charged with open container, disturbing the peace and possession of alcohol in the park.

8:26 p.m. Police responded to the AT&T store in reference to a man that was unconscious. The man was arrested and charged with intoxicated pedestrian in a roadway.

Thursday, July 16

2:19 a.m. Police responded to Walmart in reference to a trespass in progress. A woman was ticketed and ordered to leave.

8:17 a.m. A woman reported that she was harassed at Centennial Park. Two men were ticketed for disturbing the peace.

10:06 a.m. A woman reported an unattended iPhone 6 worth $750 was stolen from the Best Western pool area.

10:09 a.m. Police responded to the intersection of North and Madison streets in reference to a dogfight. A man reported that a dog jumped into the open passenger window of his vehicle and attacked his dog. A man was ticketed for maintenance of animals that disturb the peace and a dog running at large.

12:38 p.m. Police responded to City Market after a woman reportedly placed several meat items worth $25 into her purse and left without paying. She was ticketed and issued a no-trespass order.

3:23 p.m. A woman reported her vehicle’s license plate was stolen on the 600 block of S. Washington Street.

6:49 p.m. A man on the 100 block of E. Seventh Street reported two gas-powered lawn trimmers, valued at $100 each, were stolen.

8:45 p.m. Police responded to the 10 block of W. Andrew Lane for a dog running at large after a woman’s dog was attacked. The vet bill totaled nearly $400.

Friday, July 17

12:21 a.m. A man found staggering in front of the Montezuma County Courthouse was arrested for violating a no-alcohol order.

7:53 a.m. A woman on the 200 block of N. Henry Street reported that a checkbook and two iPods were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

10:40 a.m. Police responded to the Seventh Street Mobile Home Park in reference to a theft call. A wallet and guitar, valued at $800, were reported stolen.

12:49 p.m. Police responded to a report that a man had shoplifted a $5 flashlight at Slavens Hardware. The man was ticketed and issued a no-trespass notice.

8 p.m. A woman on the 800 block of Brookside Drive reported a wallet was stolen from her unlocked vehicle.

9:58 p.m. A man was stopped on the 200 block of E. Main Street for operating a vehicle with only one headlight. He was arrested and charged with DUI, no proof of insurance and no headlight.

Saturday, July 18

6:46 a.m. Police responded to a residence on the 600 block of N. Elm Street for an assault in progress. A man was arrested for harassment, criminal mischief and domestic violence after pushing his wife, punching a hole in the wall and kicking over a table.

11:44 a.m. Two women and a man were ticketed for alcohol possession in City Park.

12:49 p.m. Police responded to the Sleeping Ute Apartments for a domestic incident after a pregnant women reported that she was being held against her will. A man was arrested and charged with kidnapping and domestic violence.

11:44 p.m. Police responded to Blondie’s Trophy Room for a fight in progress. The following day, police used a YouTube video to identify four subjects who were involved. All four subsequently issued a summons for disturbing the peace.

Sunday, July 19

12:52 a.m. An intoxicated man was arrested on the 600 block of E. Empire for violating a no-alcohol court order.

6:46 a.m. Police responded to Walmart after a man put reportedly put on a pair of new shoes worth $15 and left without paying. He was arrested.

11:27 a.m. Police responded to City Park in reference to a disturbance. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

2:56 p.m. A woman was ticketed for alcohol possession in City Park.

7 p.m. A man was ticketed for alcohol possession in City Park.

Monday, July 20

9:56 a.m. Town & Country Furniture reported an exterior wall had been vandalized with the words, “be happy,” in spray paint. Damages were estimated at $150. While on the scene, officers noted a nearby dumpster had been spray painted with, “Jesus will stomp you.” The damage was estimated at $100.

10:03 a.m. Police responded to West Slope Liquors in reference to a shoplifting incident. A 30-pack of beer valued at $22 was stolen. No arrests were made.

Tuesday, July 21

9 a.m. A man was arrested for possession of alcohol in City Park.
