The Piñon Project is seeking sponsors and donations for its annual Christmas for Kids appeal. Businesses, organizations or individuals are invited to sponsor a family by donating new, unopened gifts and clothing to the children of the family.

The Piñon Project also accepts separate donations of new gifts, clothing or gift wrap, which is taken to a shopping center for families who are not assigned a sponsor. These donations can be dropped off at The Piñon Project at 210 E. Main St., Cortez.

On Dec. 11, The Piñon Project and Keesee Motors will host the Stuff the Truck Event in the Walmart parking lot 1835 E. Main St. For the event, shoppers are encouraged to buy and extra item and donate it to the Christmas for Kids appeal. The goal is to fill up a Ford Truck with gifts and clothing for Montezuma County kids.
