Love to sing? Love "The Voice"?

Then the Pinon Project wants you to perform as part of a local fundraiser. You could win $500 in cash and a professional recording session. Open call auditions start at 9 a.m., Saturday, July 13 at the Pinon Project, 300 N. Elm, Cortez. Pick up entry form at the Pinon Project, or online at www.pinonproject.org The website also has all the event information and rules for participants.

Twenty contestants will compete July 26 at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds in the same format as the popular TV reality show.

Finalists will perform on August 14 at the Ute Mountain Casino, with winners chosen by the audience. The event is all ages.
