More snow is forecast for Saturday night and Sunday

An overnight snowstorm blanketed Montezuma County with about 3 inches of snow Thursday morning, peaking about 8:30 a.m. with heavy snowfall, low visibility and freezing fog. The temperature fell to 25 degrees, and the wind picked up to 18 mph.

The brunt of the storm ended by 10 a.m., the National Weather Service said.

Friday was expected to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 26 degrees and a low of 10 degrees overnight.

Snow showers are in the forecast again Saturday night and Sunday morning.
