Photos: Lottery winners ski a day before official opening at Purgatory Resort

Gian Salzillo skis Friday at Purgatory Resort, one day ahead of the resort’s official opening day. Season passholders could enter a lottery for a day on the slopes before they open for the season Saturday. The resort has six trails available from top to bottom.
