This is “Cinch,” a boxer/Catahoula mix neutered male. Cinch is 7 years old and has been in a household with other dogs and small children. He does need a fenced yard as he likes to explore his surroundings. He is housebroken and loves to cuddle. Cinch would be a great dog for someone who needs a running partner, as he has plenty of energy. The Cortez Animal Shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed every other Friday for intensive cleaning. The shelter will also be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, in observance of Labor Day. Adoption fees include altering, microchip, first vaccines except rabies, and a free health exam at any local vets.
